NHL Insider reveals that there is a very strong possibility that Trevor Zegras time with the Anaheim Ducks could be over and a trade might happen before the 2024-2025 NHL season begins.
Zegras trade almost certainly coming, says analyst
Zegras' name has been one of the biggest names in circulation to be traded all off-season. Former NHLer turned NHL Insider, Stu Grimson has just announced there is a strong possibility it can become reality that Zegras will be shipped off.
Trevor Zegras often comes up in trade rumors around the league.

"I suspect there's a really solid possibility there (for a trade) and I say that for this reason: Pat Verbeek comes over as general manager going two years back now, and he inherits a Trevor Zegras," explains Grimson. "Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Zegras fan, I think he's got great offensive upside. (BUT) I think there's a good bit of maturity to evolve where his game is concerned, as well as on the defensive side of the puck."
The main teams that have expressed strong interest in the 23-year-old center are the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers. Only time will tell if this deal will get done, but if it does, that team will have a major superstar on their hands.
