The Bruins are eyeing a back-to-back victory in the NHL's Atlantic Division, and an interesting twist in their 2023-24 schedule could make it happen sooner than expected. Currently in the midst of a stretch featuring 12 out of 14 games at TD Garden, the team has embraced the home advantage, starting with a win against the New Jersey Devils on Jan. 15, sparking a four-game winning streak leading up to Wednesday night's faceoff against the Carolina Hurricanes.

While the continuous success at home is undeniable, not everyone is thrilled about the prolonged series of home games. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery, in particular, expressed his initial dissatisfaction with the schedule, attempting to make adjustments to reduce the number of home games. Despite the concerns, the team remains focused on taking it game by game, emphasizing the positive impact of the upcoming All-Star break.

The routine of home games will soon be interrupted as the Bruins plan a brief two-game road trip after the Wednesday match, facing the Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers. However, it's a quick return to Boston after this short stint on the road, a prospect that brings mixed feelings among the team members.
