The Boston Bruins currently have several injured players and may be exploring the trade market to acquire additional assistance.

The Montreal Canadiens are currently confronted with a significant dilemma involving one of their players, Sean Monahan.

The seasoned center is presently in the final year of a one-year contract he signed with the Canadiens, last summer. If his contract isn't extended, he could potentially become an unrestricted free agent.

Consequently, the Canadiens will need to determine whether to trade him or offer him a contract extension.

At 29 years old, Monahan has established himself as a crucial part of Martin St-Louis's team since joining. This unquestionably presents a managerial challenge regarding his future with the Canadiens.

In this context, Nick Alberga has proposed the Boston Bruins as a possible destination for Monahan, as they would likely welcome an experienced center.

Considering that the Bruins have never truly replaced players like Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, a player of Sean Monahan's caliber could certainly benefit Jim Montgomery's team.

Stay tuned for updates leading up to the trade deadline!
