After meeting his players, Jim Montgomery announces changes
The Boston Bruins maintain a 14-3-3 right now, yet their recent 1-2-1 performance in the last four games is not due to offensive struggles. Instead, their recent defensive vulnerability has become a concerning issue.
Following a 5-2 defeat against Detroit last Friday and a subsequent 7-4 loss at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, the Bruins will attempt to turn things around by facing the Columbus Blue Jackets. Coach Jim Montgomery stated that he held a team meeting to talk with his players.
"We had a good meeting yesterday as a group talking about where we are and how we need to get better, I think it put our guys in a good perspective today and I think we've had positive attitudes."
Kevin Shattenkirk will replace Mitchell in the lineup tonight. There will be no changes to the forward group.
