The whirlwind marathon that is the NHL season takes a short break for the All-Star weekend. For some superstars, it doesn't exactly mean time off, but more of a time to relax with the All-Star festivities. Those players not selected for the break, do get time off to recharge and be with family.

For one Bruins star is could not have come at a better time. Matthew Poitras has had a rough stretch since returning from the World Juniors tournament after a very shocking early exit from the tournament by his Team Canada.

Matthew Poitras has played in 6 games, posting 0 goals and 2 assist in that time. He has also dealt with an injury that caused him to miss a game. Poitras has been out of sync since his return and the Bruins will need him for the stretch run to the playoffs. These are the dog days of the season, still with 32 games left to play, plenty of travel followed by a hopeful long playoff run. The Bruins could realistically be playing into June, and they will need all of their players healthy and ready to go.

Poitras, along with other players need to take the All-Star break and use it as a time to get right, whether it's mentally, or physically. They sit atop the standings right now, but so much can happen in 32 games and the Panthers are only 5 points back and a few huge games against the Bruins on the schedule still. Enjoy the time off players, the hardest part of the season comes next!
