Having shattered the NHL record for the most single-season wins (63), the Bruins are now poised to etch their name even deeper into NHL history with just two games left.

Setting Sights on the Points Record

Boston is set to face off against the Capitals at home on Tuesday and wrap up the regular season in Montreal on Thursday. As Ty Anderson from 98.5 The Sports Hub points out, the team is on the cusp of breaking a longstanding record held by the Canadiens.

''The Bruins need two points over their final two games to set the NHL's single-season points record. Tonight's win puts them at 131 points, just one behind the 1976-77 Canadiens.''

Of course, it's expected that the Bruins will give some of their star players a breather in these last two games, particularly since the wins record is already in the bag. But as they've demonstrated throughout the season, this team has the ability and the determination to secure victories, no matter which lineup Coach Jim Montgomery puts on the ice.
