Breaking: Hurricanes Star Forward to Miss Game Against Bruins

The Carolina Hurricanes hit the ice at Invisalign Arena for practice ahead of their game against the Boston Bruins. Star forward Andrei Svechnikov, recovering from an upper-body injury, skated briefly with assistant coach Jeff Daniels but won't be traveling.

Coach Rod Brind'Amour is optimistic about Svechnikov's quick recovery. Goalie Pyotr Kochetkov participated fully in practice, signaling progress in his return from an injury sustained on Jan. 11 against the Anaheim Ducks.

Brind'Amour noted that Kochetkov looks good and is awaiting clearance after going through protocols.
