General Manager Don Sweeney faces some significant choices this summer, and recent reports suggest one of those decisions involves signing a highly sought-after college free agent.

Among Several Teams Competing for His Services

Evan Renaerts from Fox Sports initially reported that Boston is showing considerable interest in undrafted NCAA forward Jason Polin. He also mentioned that the Bruins are not the only team vying for his attention.

"The #Bruins are hoping they can sign a NCAA free agent who is set to play in the NCAA Division 1 tournament. Western Michigan University senior forward Jason Polin is drawing interest from many NHL teams after a great season where the 23-year-old led NCAA Division 1 with 29 goals in 38 games."

Renaerts highlighted that the 23-year-old player has had an impressive season with Western Michigan University, amassing 46 points in 38 games. The Michigan native has tallied 59 goals and 36 assists, totalling 95 points in 131 games over four seasons with the team.

Polin was recently nominated as one of the top 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award, as well.
