Kevin Paul DuPont was present at the Bruins' practice at Warrior Ice Arena this morning and reported that Krejci skated individually before the team session.
This is a significant improvement for the 36-year-old, who last played when the Bruins faced the Penguins in Pittsburgh on April 1st.
After practice, Montgomery revealed the team's expectation for Krejci to be back in action for the first game of the postseason, meaning he will not participate in Boston's last two regular-season games. The head coach stated:
Krejci had an outstanding season after spending the entire 2021-22 season playing in Czechia. In 70 games, the seasoned player scored 16 goals, provided 40 assists, and achieved a +23 rating.
Ty Anderson of 98.5 suggested that the priority might be ensuring Krejci is well-rested and prepared for the first playoff game. This would be crucial for Boston, as Krejci holds the third place in Bruins' history with 42 goals and 82 assists in 156 postseason games.
