The Boston Bruins continue to set milestones this season as they surpassed a longtime team record with a hard-fought victory against the Hurricanes on Sunday.

Despite the absence of key players such as Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, Hampus Lindholm, Taylor Hall, Derek Forbort, and Nick Foligno, the Bruins managed to secure a 4-3 shootout win.

A Nostalgic Touch of 1972!

By winning in Raleigh last night, the Bruins surpassed a prior team record established by the 1971-72 squad, which had 26 road victories.

NHL Public Relations also highlighted that they equalled the franchise record for overall wins:

Boston's 57 wins matched the 1970-71 season for the most in franchise history, while its 27 road victories surpassed the 1971-72 campaign (26) for the club record.

Moreover, Boston remains on track to potentially break league records for wins (62) and points (132) within a single season.

Will they achieve these feats?
