Boston has faced several instances recently where they played three games within a span of four days. Following their 3-1 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets on December 2nd, the Bruins enjoyed a three-day break before their home game against the Buffalo Sabres. However, despite the extended rest, the Bruins couldn't regain their momentum and suffered a 3-1 defeat to Buffalo.
Two nights later, the Bruins displayed a positive reaction by securing a 5-3 victory against the Arizona Coyotes. The brief period between games worked in Boston's favor as they managed to achieve a win and recover from their previous setback.
This morning, we finally have some good news regarding Charlie McAvoy as we see him participating in his morning skate during practice even though we don't have an update on his return.
After enjoying an additional three-day break, the Bruins will resume play on Wednesday night against the Devils in New Jersey, initiating another sequence of three games within a four-day span.
