Erik Gudbranson erupts in anger following a questionable body check
As is often the case in Panthers games, the play gets highly physical, and there are some instances of overflow.
This afternoon's match against the Blue Jackets is no exception.
Defenseman Erik Gudbranson of the Jackets was ejected for inciting a brawl with Panthers' forward Nick Cousins during the team's 5-2 defeat on Sunday. The referees penalized Gudbranson with 27 minutes: 10 minutes for misconduct and a two-minute minor for instigating the fight, 10 minutes for a game misconduct, and five minutes for fighting.
Gudbranson erupted in anger, and it was Cousins who bore the brunt. The burly Jackets defenseman repeatedly struck the Panthers forward as he was in a defensive position on the ice.
