Pastrnak was removed from Saturday night's game versus the New York Rangers following a collision that led to an injury for Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren, forcing Lindgren out of the game due to the impact.

Jim Montgomery, the Boston Bruins' head coach, openly voiced his disagreement with the decision right after the game. His viewpoint was echoed by criticisms from another NHL player.
