The National Hockey League's recent ruling on a controversial hit from the weekend has been revealed by veteran NHL reporter Arthur Staple. Staple's Sunday report, referencing an insider, indicates that the NHL's Department of Player Safety will not impose further disciplinary measures on Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak.

Pastrnak was removed from Saturday night's game versus the New York Rangers following a collision that led to an injury for Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren, forcing Lindgren out of the game due to the impact.

Jim Montgomery, the Boston Bruins' head coach, openly voiced his disagreement with the decision right after the game. His viewpoint was echoed by criticisms from another NHL player. Although the Bruins are expected to acknowledge the decision, the Rangers might hold a more dissatisfied viewpoint about the situation.
