Gabriel Gagne, a former Ottawa Senators' second-round draft pick and player for the Chicago Blackhawks' AHL affiliate, has been sentenced to six months in prison due to his conviction for a prolonged period of harassment and threats directed at his ex-girlfriend.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to charges of harassment and making death threats, while one assault charge was dropped. Although he was cleared of sexual assault accusations, Gagne still faces trial for other alleged offenses of a similar nature.
Court records reveal a pattern of relentless bombardment, with Gagne incessantly calling and messaging his ex-girlfriend, causing significant distress.
