Good news emerging from the Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins made a surprising announcement about their upcoming Mental Health Awareness Night, sponsored by Mass General Brigham, scheduled for Thursday, December 7, during their home game versus the Buffalo Sabres at 7 p.m. at TD Garden.
As part of this occasion, the Bruins will recognize Dr. Nathaniel Van Kirk as the Community All-Star, presented by Massachusetts State Lottery. Dr. Van Kirk, who serves as the Director of Psychological Services at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital, is engaged in research aimed at improving treatment for severe OCD and associated disorders. Representatives from McLean Hospital and the Benson-Henry Institute (BHI) of Massachusetts General Hospital will be present on the concourse behind Loge 21 throughout the game. BHI specializes in integrating mind-body medicine into conventional healthcare through thorough, evidence-based research. The Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 Raffle, presented by DraftKings, will contribute to McLean Hospital's mission.
McLean Hospital, a non-profit psychiatric hospital under Mass General Brigham, is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. The panel will include Head Coach Jim Montgomery and mental health professionals Fairlee C. Fabrett, Ph.D. (McLean Hospital), Susan M.
