Boston secured a 4-1 victory against the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center this Wednesday. This crucial win halted a series of four consecutive games without a win, and now, the B's aim to clinch back-to-back victories as they face the New Jersey Devils at TD Garden this Saturday.
Last year, Boston recruited Merkulov from Ohio State, and he has emerged as one of the top goal scorers in the AHL this month. There's a possibility that he might make his debut during the Bruins' upcoming back-to-back games over the weekend.
Coach Montgomery on his message to Georgii Merkulov ahead of his NHL debut tonight: "Enjoy every minute of it it's pretty simple. It's pretty special...you're achieving your dreams...he is laser focused, his drive has been, probably, since he's 14 to play in the NHL."
The game at TD Garden is set to start at 7 p.m., and the Bruins aim to secure their second consecutive victory.
