The top players of the Bruins stepped up during a challenging game on Saturday evening.

Among these standout performers was David Pastrnak, who had an impactful three-point game in Toronto. Pastrnak initiated the scoring at Scotiabank Arena with his 14th goal of the season and contributed assists for two other goals by Boston, including the overtime winner by Brad Marchand.
Pastrnak's exceptional display against the rival Maple Leafs earned high praise from Jim Montgomery, the head coach. Montgomery's commendation extended beyond just Pastrnak's on-ice performance.
"I loved 88 tonight," Montgomery said to reporters, per the team. "You're trying to balance how much you play him with getting other people on the ice as well. That's tough part."

"On the bench, he's much more talkative. He's much more positive on the bench. Last year he didn't concern himself with having to do that with so many other great leaders. He's grown like that and he's also grown in his playmaking."

Pastrnak aims to deliver another significant performance on Sunday night as the Bruins face a back-to-back game at TD Garden. NESN will provide comprehensive coverage of the matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets, starting at 6 p.m.
