The Boston Bruins marked their centennial season in the NHL by unveiling the "Historic 100" list, which honors past players and coaches. While the focus has been on the players, the list of bench bosses has sparked debate. Here's a glimpse of notable figures and their contributions:

Don Cherry: While Cherry didn't secure a Stanley Cup, he led the Bruins to four Adams Division titles and two Cup final appearances, earning the Jack Adams Award in 1976.

Bruce Cassidy: In his second season, Cassidy guided the Bruins to the 2019 Stanley Cup Final, boasting a consistent record of 245-108-46.

Harry Sinden: Before his 28-year tenure as the Bruins' general manager, Sinden coached Boston to their first Stanley Cup win in 29 years in 1970.

Art Ross: Ross played a pivotal role in the Bruins' first two Stanley Cup championships in 1929 and 1939 as a coach and led the team to a third title in 1941 while serving as general manager. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983.

Claude Julien: The winningest coach in Bruins history, Julien guided the team to their first Stanley Cup win in 39 years in 2011 and made two Cup Final appearances during his 10-year tenure.

Honorable mentions: Terry O'Reilly and Mike Milbury, former players turned head coaches who led the Bruins to Stanley Cup Final appearances.

Jim Montgomery, following his successful 2022-23 season, might earn a place on this esteemed list if the Bruins continue to flourish under his leadership.
