The Boston Bruins put on an absolute offensive clinic on Saturday night against one of their biggest rivals in the Montreal Canadians. In the 9-4 dominating win, 16 different Bruins recorded points, a season high. Head Coach Jim Montgomery was very pleased and said after the game that a performance like this has been building for the last few weeks:
This was the first game in quite some time that the Bruins have had close to their full roster, with the return of Matthew Poitras and Derek Forbort. Linus Ullmark made his return in net after a weeklong absence with injury, however he looked a bit rusty giving up 4 goals on 21 shots. He was bailed out by his teammate's offensive outburst, however.
The Bruins put the NHL on notice, even from the top of the standings, that they are firing on all cylinders and not to be taken lightly.
