The NHL recently unveiled a major change, stating that Fanatics will take over as the league's jersey supplier beginning in 2024. Interestingly, a leading global brand, decided not to pursue the jersey rights.

Steering Clear of Hockey Altogether

According to sources, Nike is trying to distance itself from the sport of hockey and opted not to bid for the NHL's 2024 jersey rights. Currently, Nike is the official uniform provider for both the MLB and NBA.

The look of the upcoming Fanatics-made jerseys is still unclear. However, Fanatics announced on Tuesday that they would maintain the same Quebec-based facility used by Adidas for manufacturing NHL uniforms in the past.

Furthermore, they mentioned that no major design alterations for teams are expected during the initial three years of the partnership.
