Earlier today, Head Coach Jim Montgomery confirmed that Linus Ullmark will be starting his second game in a row, with the Bruins hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday evening.
Montgomery highlighted a key reason for choosing Ullmark again, which is to prepare for the upcoming playoffs:
It has been 19 games since Boston last refrained from alternating between Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman, with Ullmark being the first to start back-to-back games on February 18th and 20th.
Ullmark's position as the Bruins' preferred choice is unsurprising, given that he is currently leading the race for the Vezina Trophy with 36 victories, a 1.90 GAA, and a .937 save percentage.
