The Philadelphia Flyers ink former Bruins forward Garnet Hathaway to a lucrative two-year deal worth $4.75 million, according to General Manager Daniel Briere's confirmation.

Hathaway, who mainly played for the Washington Capitals last season, adds valuable experience to the Flyers' lineup. The 31-year-old recorded 16 points and accumulated 52 penalty minutes in 59 games.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot-3 and weighing 208 pounds, the native of Kennebunkport, Maine, has showcased his skills over eight NHL seasons, amassing 122 points and 490 penalty minutes with Calgary, Washington, and Boston.

Before making his mark in the NHL, Hathaway displayed his talents in the AHL, serving as an alternate captain for the Heat during his five-year tenure.
