Former World Junior Champion Michele Basso Passes Away at 26
Michele Basso, a former World Junior Champion, has tragically lost his battle with bone sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, at the age of 26.
Basso was widely recognized for his unwavering dedication to hockey and proudly represented Italy in various championships. He was an active player in the Italian league as well.
Former Italian World Junior Championship member and Italian league defenseman Michele Basso has regrettably passed away at the age of 26 after a prolonged battle with illness.
Basso contributed to italia.hockey's U18 team during the 2014-15 season and their U20 team in 2015-16. He also competed in 11 games for Asiago in the Italian League during the 2015-16 season.
His legacy will continue to inspire the hockey community.
