The NHL was taken by surprise on Monday evening when the Anaheim Ducks traded their skilled young defenseman Jamie Drysdale to Philadelphia, and it seems their trading activity might not be finished yet.
Trevor Zegras is now on the trading block.
Darren Dreger of TSN reports that the young standout is also up for grabs, based on information received from various competing teams.
"Darren Dreger states that he's been told by several teams that F Trevor Zegras may be available via trade."
Although his performance in the 2023-24 season has been underwhelming with only 7 points in the first 19 games, Zegras has demonstrated his dynamic abilities in the NHL. This raises the question: should Boston pursue this rising star?
Pursuing Zegras alone might not be a strategic move for Boston, given their reliance on players like Matthew Poitras, Trent Frederic, John Beecher, and Danton Heinen to strengthen their lower lines.
