This recall is in response to the lower-body injury Linus Ullmark sustained on Tuesday. In Vegas on Thursday, Bussi will serve as Jeremy Swayman's backup. Previously on December 7th, Bussi was also brought up for a backup position but has not yet played in the NHL. With a record of 10-6-3, a 2.94 GAA, and a .901 save percentage, Bussi has made 20 appearances in the AHL this season.
Swayman has delivered two statistically underwhelming performances consecutively, yet his defense notably abandoned him in the game against the Avalanche, where the Bruins faced a significant shot disadvantage of 36-26. Nevertheless, he executed some remarkable saves. He will be the starting goaltender for the Bruins and must rise to the challenge of being the primary goalie.
