The Bruins have seen an increase in depth scoring, and while some key players have contributed to this, one forward has been a delightful revelation.

Taylor Hall, spending most of the season on the third line, along with the acquisitions of Tyler Bertuzzi and Garnet Hathaway, have been instrumental. However, another player has truly stood out.

A Breakout Season for a Former First Round Pick

While many Bruins are having career-high seasons, fans should be most excited about Trent Frederic. Chosen 29th overall by Boston in 2019, Frederic had previously struggled to make a significant impact in the NHL.

Already known for his physicality and willingness to fight when necessary, Frederic is now showcasing his offensive skills. With a career-high 16 goals and 12 assists in 66 games this season, he has surpassed his previous best of 8 goals and 10 assists in 60 games last year.

Moreover, hockey analytics experts Andy & Rono have identified Frederic as one of the best bottom-six forwards in the entire league this season.

"Frederic is enjoying the best season of his career and has been one of the top bottom-six forwards this season. Great for Boston."

Although Frederic may not be the prototypical first-round pick, he has demonstrated his value to the Bruins and could play a crucial role down the stretch.
