The Boston Bruins kicked off their training camp today at Warrior Ice Arena, revealing some intriguing forward line combinations. While these configurations may evolve over time, they provide a glimpse into the team's early plans.

In group A, the spotlight was on 2021 first-round pick Fabian Lysell, who secured a spot on the first line as the right winger. This move signifies high expectations for the young talent this season.

Lysell joined forces with Charlie Coyle at center and Brad Marchand on the left wing. Notably, undrafted free agent Georgi Merkulov found himself in the second-line center position, showcasing his impressive productivity with AHL affiliate Providence over the past two seasons.

Group B also featured some noteworthy line assignments. The top line was composed of Matthew Poitras, a 2022 second-round pick at center, flanked by David Pastrnak on the right and offseason acquisition Jesper Boqvist on the left.

The second line saw Pavel Zacha centering, with Marc McLaughlin on the right and James Van Riemsdyk on the left. While these combinations are subject to change, they offer fans a glimpse of what's brewing as training camp unfolds.
