The Legend of David Pastrnak
David Pastrnak has been one of the most consistent superstars in the league, a centerpiece to a perennial playoff contender, and a goal scoring machine. Coming off an amazing 61 goal season, Pastrnak is on pace for 52 goals this season after 30 games. Just being part of the Bruins squad, which contends every year is pressure enough, they have made the playoffs in 7 straight seasons and well on there was to an 8th straight this year. Pastrnak has been a centerpiece and has now even more spotlight on him with the loss of Patrice Bergeron to retirement after last season. He has more then delivered without Bergeron and lived up to the hype of this Bruins team delivering 43 points in 30 games on pace for 117 points for the season.
In a league with Connor Mcdavid, Syndey Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, and the new rookie sensation Connor Bedard, Pastrnak will sometimes stay out of the spotlight, silently delivering for his team night in and night out. There is no denying how valuable he is for a team that is always contending. In a Big Market like the Boston area, where winning is almost expected from all major sports teams, the pressure to deliver for your team is high and that's what «Pasta» has been doing every year of his career.
Can Pastrnak get back into 60 goals this year? Can he push for another over 100-point season? There has been no indication of him slowing down, and that is a good sign for the Bruins win total.
