Among these, the Selke Trophy is one that Patrice Bergeron has grown accustomed to winning.
In the midst of Game 1 between the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs, the NHL revealed the three contenders for the Selke Trophy, as well as the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.
Remarkably, this marks Bergeron's 12th consecutive nomination for the Selke, dating back to his first win in the 2011-12 season.
Joining him in the race for the award are first-time nominee Mitchell Marner of the Maple Leafs and Nico Hischier of the Devils.
During this impressive streak, Bergeron has managed to secure an NHL record five Selke Trophies, while also finishing as the runner-up four times.
As fans speculate whether Bergeron will add another Selke to his impressive collection, they can also look forward to the announcements of other trophy finalists.
