The Boston Bruins are gearing up for their highly-anticipated rookie camp, slated to take place at HarborCenter in Buffalo, N.Y. from September 13th to 18th. While the official roster remains under wraps, all eyes are on two promising prospects who recently joined the Bruins family: Mason Lohrei and Matthew Poitras.

In a recent Twitter exchange with Elaine Cavalieri, a notable Bruins reporter and social content producer, both Lohrei and Poitras couldn't contain their excitement about being part of the esteemed Bruins organization.

Lohrei, a standout defenseman who was drafted by the Bruins in 2020, inked a lucrative two-year entry-level contract on May 10th, solidifying his commitment to the team. His journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, as he eagerly expressed, "The past three years as a prospect with the Boston Bruins have been an incredible ride. The opportunity to meet everyone within the organization and witness their unparalleled operations has been truly unmatched."

Making a bold move to pursue his professional dreams, Lohrei decided to leave his collegiate career at Ohio State after an impressive amateur tryout in March. He wasted no time showcasing his talent when he made his Providence Bruins debut on April 6th, making a significant impact in their victory against the Hershey Bears. Throughout the season, Lohrei displayed his prowess in five AHL games for Providence, recording a notable assist.

Meanwhile, Poitras, a highly-touted forward, experienced a dream come true when the Bruins drafted him in the second round of the 2022 selection process. Sealing the deal with a three-year entry-level contract on May 5th, Poitras has rapidly emerged as a player to watch. His extraordinary performance with the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League, racking up an impressive 16 goals and 79 assists, earned him well-deserved recognition.

Poitras, though relatively new to the Bruins organization, spoke glowingly about his limited experiences at development camp and the previous year's camp. The atmosphere within the Bruins organization left an indelible impression on him, leading him to remark, "Being part of any organization is a dream, but being part of the Bruins is something truly extraordinary. The staff, the people I've interacted with, and the invaluable learning experiences I've gained as a young player make it an
incredible place to be."
