The Boston Bruins displayed a sluggish start right from the beginning of their game against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.

With only five shots on goal in the initial period, Bruins' head coach Jim Montgomery admitted accountability for the team's early lack of vigor.

The day after the game, a reporter made a surprising statement.

"A huge part of why they lost 3 straight was the coach kept rolling out that 1st line. He finally split them up and they rattled off three straight wins. Now after one stinker he puts them back together.
You have all the data you need to be smarter than this"

The Bruins will receive the Arizona Coyotes to TD Garden on Saturday afternoon for an early hockey match.

The Coyotes had triumphed in five consecutive games before their 4-1 defeat to the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday. When the game starts at 1 p.m. ET, both teams will aim to return to winning ways.
