As Boston prepares to head down to Florida for game three, head coach Jim Montgomery provided an update on Patrice Bergeron's status that can be best described as ''less than ideal'', by Conor Ryan.

Since leaving the ice during the first period of the Bruins regular season finale, Bergeron has been sidelined but has continued to skate solo.

Initially thought to be an illness, it has now evolved into an injury worry for the Bruins' captain.

Is the Captain's Health a Cause for Concern?

Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic shared some disconcerting updates from Montgomery before the team's departure:

''I haven't talked to medical and athletic trainers about where he's at as far as coming with us on the trip or not.''

- Jim Montgomery

Conor Ryan of Boston.com was also not thrilled about the revelation.

Game three is scheduled for Friday night at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida. After splitting the first two home games with the Panthers, the Bruins must rediscover their top form.
