The Avalanche were eliminated last night from the playoffs after losing in overtime to the Dallas Stars.

News broke after the game that veteran Zach Parise has officially retired after the game. Parise played 19 seasons in the NHL, playing in 1254 games while putting up 434 goals and 889 points in his career.

With the Avs elimination last night, forward Zach Parise will now retire.

The 39 year old played 19 seasons in the NHL, appearing in 1254 games, and scoring 434 goals and 889 points in those games.

Parise has an estimated career earnings of $110,243,397, which is currently 13th most all time.

He will also receive earn an additional $833,333 per year until 2029 from the #mnwild buyout.
