Bruins beat the Capitals in possible first round matchup preview

The Bruins took on the Capitals in an intense battle last night, winning the game 3-2 in shootout.

The game was tied 2-2 after the third period and overtime ended with no goals which sent the game to a shootout. The Bruins had a surprising hero as defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk scored the game winner in the 5th round.

Depending on how the last few games on the season go in the East, this game may have been a preview of what fans will get to see in the first round of the playoffs.

One thing is for certain, it will be a great 1st round matchup if these two teams play each other.
