Over the past couple of seasons, general manager Don Sweeney and his management team have felt that goaltending was an important part in their drafting strategy. The Bruins have managed to draft several goalie prospects including Brandon Bussi and Michael DiPietro.

With the continued stellar play of both Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark, this has left the Bruins with the possibility of losing both Bussi and or DiPietro.

The team will need to assess where both players are in their current state of development engage if they are ready to make their jump into the NHL. This kind of move would prompt a trade as Sweeney would want to acquire something in return rather than lose a prospect for nothing.

There have been several rumors about the Bruins goaltending situation, and it remains to be seen on what they will do next. Swayman is on his final year of his deal of $3.475 million and is an RFA with arbitration rights. Ullmark has one year remaining at 5 million per season.
