During the offseason, the Boston Bruins picked up Max Jones as a free agent. Previously, he had been playing with the Anaheim Ducks.
Overall, Jones has been in and out of the NHL. He has played quite a few AHL games and while he is not guaranteed to be a fixture on this Bruins roster, he plays a brand of hockey that Bruins fans have always shown to love. He's a bruiser who lays out big hits and plays with energy.
Don Sweeney and the Bruins front office certainly see something in him. However, only time will tell whether or not he truly gets a fair crack at the lineup. Preseason will certainly give us better insight.
