Huge news coming out of Boston as one of their top prospects could be re-entering the 2024 NHL draft.

Reid Dyck, a 22 year old goaltender was selected 183rd overall by the Bruins in 2022. Sources have confirmed that if the Bruins do not take immediate swift action to sign the young goaltender by June 1st, Dyck will be eligible to re-enter this year's draft class, making him available to prospecting teams looking to bolster their back end.

Young Dyck finished his fourth season with the Western Hockey League's Swift Current Broncos. In just 35 games, Dyck had a record of 25-7-2 with a 2.70 goals against average, a .911 save percentage and two shutouts. A very respectable winning record which would put him in the top rankings of goalie prospects entering this year's draft class.

The Bruins enter a precarious entering next season in regard to their goaltender situation. With trade rumors already surrounding Vezina winner Linus Ullmark, the wise decision would be to sign Reid Dyck to secure their talent pool in the minors. Reid Dyck has proven himself a valuable asset as a goalie, therefore, the Bruins should take the necessary measures to ensure Dyck does not land elsewhere in this years draft.
