Bruins made a lot of great move this summer including acquiring through a trade goaltender Joonas Korpisalo and signing Elias Lindholm.
Both players had off years last season and the Bruins are hoping they are able to bounce back in Boston, especially Lindholm who signed a lengthy deal. Lindholm has proved he can be a top two way center in the NHL and can easily be an 80-90 point player if he is put in the right situation as he was in Calgary a few years ago.
Lindholm enters his first season with the Bruins following a steady decline in offensive production over the last three years. After a career-best season in 2021-22, in which he scored 42 goals and tallied 82 points in 82 games for the Calgary Flames, Lindholm's numbers have dipped significantly. In the 2022-23 season, he recorded 22 goals and 64 points in 80 games, though still respectable, a noticeable step down from his career highs. Last season, he regressed even further, putting up just 15 goals and 44 points in 65 games split between the Flames and the Vancouver Canucks.
While Lindholm struggled mostly in Vancouver last season, he did pick up the pace in the playoffs putting up 10 points in 13 games before the Canucks were eliminated.
The Bruins would have not offered the deal they did to Lindholm if they did no believe he can return to being that player.
