Bruins rivals could be approaching blockbuster trade regarding Tavares

Since the end of the season, there has been a lot of rumors floating around Leafs captain John Tavares.

It looks like there might be a big trade being put together that would see Tavares head to the NHL newest team, the Utah Hockey Club and Logan Cooley head back to Toronto in the trade.

I had a conversation with someone who wondered about a team like Utah and here's why, Utah has a lot of young players, Logan Cooley is an obvious one, Utah is most likely in the business for veteran players on short-term deals and the theory is that they could offer Tavares a pretty healthy number on a 2-yr contract as a why to entice him to waive a no-trade.

Despite production going down, Tavares still put up 29 goals goals and a total of 65 points in 80 games this season which would be a great addition for a new franchise.
