Merkulov had a great season in the AHL with Providence and is clearly ready to make the jump to the NHL but unfortunately it looks like the Bruins might not have room for him in the lineup.
The young forward was incredible in the AHL this season putting up 65 points in 67 games and is ready to play in the NHL.
The reasoning behind the Bruins possibly moving him is because he is clearly a top 6 forward but with the Bruins looking to sign a top goal scorer this summer and the rest of the spots being filled, it is hard to see Merkulov on the bottom 2 lines.
