The Bruins acquired Pavel Zacha in a trade for Erik Haula during the 2022 off-season and the move has clearly paid off.

While Haula was a solid player for the Bruins putting up 44 points in 78 games during the 2021-22 season, the trade was worth it as Zacha has been incredible since arriving in Boston.

As a Devil, Zacha never surpassed 36 points in a season which came during his last year with the team. In his first season with the Bruins, Zacha had a career high in all categories with 21 goals and 36 assists in 82 games for a total of 57 points. The 26 year-old has continued to produce as he currently has 50 points in 70 games this season with the possibility of surpassing last year's totals.

Clearly Sweeney made an incredible trade as Zacha is much younger, continuing to get better every year while Haula is 33 years old and his production has been on a downhill slope for the past few seasons.
