Bruins legendary captain Zdeno Chara called it a career in 2022 but has not being taking it easy in retirement as he just completed a triathlon this summer.

Chara since retiring has completed a couple marathons including the Boston and New York marathons then decided to try a triathlon this summer in Sweden. Not only did the former Bruins captain complete a triathlon but also put up an impressive overall time as he completed it in 10 hours and 20 minutes.

«Chara swam the 2.4-mile (3.8km) Baltic Sea swim course in a time of 1:26:08, biked the 112-mile (180km) bike course in 5:12:03, and ran the 26.2-mile marathon course in 3:48:54, finishing in a total time of 10:40:48,» Ironman reported.

The fact that Chara continues to challenge his body in retirement does not come as a surprise to those that know him since he was known for having a crazy work ethic and off-ice routing during his playing days.
