On this day in 1982, the Boston bruins combined for a trade with the Colorado Rockies. This was before the team relocated to New Jersey and became the Devils.

The B's made a trade with the Rockies (NJ Devils) and got a 1st and 2nd round pick for Dwight Foster.

acquire a 1st (Gord Kluzak) and 2nd (Brian Curran) round pick in 1982 from the Colorado Rockies for Dwight Foster, a 1st (Ken Daneyko) and 10th (Tony Gilliard) round pick in 1982


kGord Kluzak was selected as the top pick in the draft despite the 1982 draft being a massive sweepstakes for Brian Bellows.

The Rockies would select Ken Daneyko with their pick which would turn out great as he was a career Devil and helped win 3 Stanley Cup with the organization.
