The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they have promoted Nash as the teams new director of hockey operations. Since retiring, Nash has worked in the front office for Columbus as a special assistant to the general manager until 2021, he then was promoted to Columbus' director of player development, but his new role will carry a lot more weight and pressure.
It is not a shock to many that he has found himself in this rile with the team, he served as the captain for multiple season and over his 674 NHL games, he scored 289 goals, 258 assists, for 547 points. Nash's number 61 was retired back in 2022 to honor his time and stardom with the team.
Nash only played 11 regular season game for the Bruins where he scored 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points but is still remembers as making a big impact in his short time there.
