Former NHL scout has tragically passed away

News broke yesterday that Avalanche video coach Scott Masters has tragically passed away at the age of 46.

Masters was most recently the Avs video coach but also worked for the Canadiens, Panthers and Blues during his career.

Masters credited Blues GM Doug Armstrong as a mentor for him as he helped him achieve his goals as a scout since Armstrong was a strong believer in the importance of scouting.

There has been no update on the cause of Masters passing but the entire hockey community wish their condolences to the entire Masters family.
