The trade rumors for Linus Ullmark have been flying around the league ever since the trade deadline, but his NTC has caused some barriers for the Boston Bruins.
Per the '2 Pad Stack' Podcast, Dominic Tiano, a Boston Bruins reporter released that Ullmark has waived his no-trade clause for the Ottawa Senators.
Dom (@dominictiano) reports that Ullmark has officially waived his NTC for the Senators.
He also specifies that no trade or extension has been reached yet.
NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman stated on the ' 32 Thoughts Podcast' that there is a major caveat that could put a halt in the deal that will send him to nations capital. The Senators want a signed extension in place before they are even willing to pay the high ask the Bruins want in return for the former Vezina award winner.
Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast confirmed the OTT/BOS discussions are very real, and it's gotten to the point where OTT wants an extension in place before paying the price Boston is asking for #nhlbruins
What has been circulating is that the Ottawa Senators are in the ball park of 5-years at $35 million bringing an AAV of $7 million for the 30-year-old.
