During Monday evening's game against the Seattle Kraken, David Pastrnak played a very good game. However, even with Pastrnak's outstanding efforts, the Bruins didn't manage to clinch victory, ending the game with a 4-3 loss in a shootout. Pastrnak managed to tie the game with a power-play goal, pushing it into overtime, but the Bruins were unable to come out on top.

After the match, coach Jim Montgomery voiced his frustration, pointing out what he saw as a missing killer instinct.

"I think our play for the majority of time was really good, but not having that killer instinct," Montgomery told NESN's Andy Brickley in his postgame interview session. "I think this is a trip where we could've had seven out of eight (points) the way we played".

Captain Brad Marchand reiterated these thoughts, highlighting the squandered chances throughout the road trip.

"We had a decent road trip. We should have done better. Could have done worse," Marchand told reporters. "Definitely some areas we need to continue to improve upon. Can't let games slip away from us. It happened a couple of times on this trip. So, it's good to get five of eight, but we should have had more."

The Bruins are now shifting their attention towards welcoming the Vegas Golden Knights, with the goal of making a comeback on their home rink.
