Marchand celebrates 1000th game by giving a beating

Bruins fans celebrated their captain Brad Marchand's 1000th game at TD Garden today.

Marchand passed his 1000-game mark on the road so the team held a ceremony for him before puck drop this afternoon. They presented him with a portrait commemorating this achievement, where he celebrated by taking a picture with his wife and kids.

The Bruins captain decided to put on a show for the fans halfway through the first period with a beatdown on Stars' Joel Hanley.

Fans can't ask for a more Marchand-esque way of celebrating from the legend.

Justin Brazeau also added to the show at TD Garden today by scoring his first NHL goal in his first game.

Talk about a childhood dream.
