Bruins captain Brad Marchand is headed into the last year of his deal in the upcoming season and was recently asked if he has started speaking with management.
Marchand is now 36 and has spent his entire career in Boston. He told reporters that he would like to finish his career in Boston and thinks the two parties will be talking soon.
«Obviously, I can't believe how quick it came. It'll definitely be a conversation at some point,» Marchand said Sunday at the team's final media availability of the season. «We'll go from there. I've been here for my whole career and would love to continue that when the time comes.»
It is more than likely that GM Don Sweeney will over Marchand a solid extension as he is a crucial part of the organization and is still a highly skilled play, this season he put 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points.
