Not much time has passed since allegations of domestic violence against Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins were dismissed due to his wife's refusal to testify against him. Presently, Brittany Lucic has initiated divorce proceedings, citing "irreconcilable differences." According to a report from the New York Post, the paperwork was submitted on Monday.
In February, the charges against Lucic were dismissed following Brittany's declaration to the court that she would abstain from testifying against her spouse. In her divorce petition, she has requested sole custody of the three children belonging to the couple.
Their oldest daughter, Valentina, was born in 2013 followed by their second daughter, Nikolina, in 2015. They welcomed their son, Milan Jr., in 2018."
Before the commencement of the 2023-24 season, Lucic inked a one-year contract with the Boston Bruins, marking his return to the team where he initially launched his NHL career. The 35-year-old participated in only four games before it was disclosed that he would be embarking on an indefinite hiatus. He is set to become a free agent once more this summer.
